“In 2019, the year Michael turned 40, he published his first biography. Until then he had written in-depth about superheroes in the fictional Marvel universe, and now he turned to a real life superhero, writing about Dr. Steve Foster’s medical missionary work saving lives and mending wounds in a foreign country called Angola. This portrait of my husband is a companion piece to my own self-portrait at age 40.” - Bethany
