“The Saddledome, home of the Flames, scene of many world-class concerts and events like the Junos. Built in 1983 it has been an icon in the Calgary skyline for over forty years. I painted this urban landscape with sentimentality in 2024 as the building is slated to soon be demolished to make way for a new event centre.” - Bethany
